SECTION 2 - CONSENT

How do you get my consent?

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

SECTION 3 - DISCLOSURE

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

SECTION 4 - VEND

Our store is hosted on VEND e-commerce. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

Your data is stored through VEND’s data storage, databases and the general VEND application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

Payment: STRIPE

Protection of personal data are very important to us. If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then STRIPE stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Stripe will comply with the applicable data protection laws, including in particular, the adoption of laws consistent with the EU Directive 95/46/EC (“EU Data Directive”) binding in United Kingdom, as amended from time to time. In providing the Stripe Services, Stripe transfers personal data (including Cardholder Data) to its affiliate, Stripe, Inc., which stores and processes this personal data on servers located in the US. To ensure the adequate protection of Data transferred outside of EU member states, Stripe employs appropriate mechanisms (including model contract clauses) to allow for the lawful onward transfer of personal data under the EU Data Directive."Stripe Payments UK Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority as an Electronic Money Institution (“EMI”), Reference Number: 900461."

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Master Card, American Express and other. Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor, and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available.

For more insight, you may also want to read STRIPE Terms of Service here or Privacy Statement here.

Payment: PayPal

Service provided by PayPal. Their user agreement can be found here.

About 3D-Secure used by PayPal: Our aim is to balance convenience and security, so we are adding this additional level of security in certain cases in order to keep your account safe. We will not ask for it every time and most of the time you should be able to pay with PayPal by just entering your email address and your PayPal password. 3D-Secure is the secure protocol designed to ensure enhanced security and strong authentication for you when you use your debit or credit cards for online purchases. It is called, depending on the card type, “MasterCard SecureCode”, “Verified by Visa” and, in the case of American Express cards, “Safekey”. In the future when you transact, you may be asked to provide a special security code to the card issuing bank in order for the bank to authorise the online transaction when prompted in the PayPal payments page. Card issuing banks have different methods of generating and delivering these codes and so if you don’t know your 3D-Secure passcode or password, and you are not being given the option to enrol online in the bank’s pop up screen, then you will need to contact your bank. Please note that this is not your PayPal account password.

SECTION 5 - THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.

In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

As an example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.

Once you leave our store’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.
